Very disappointed
Extremely disappointing experience. My tour was canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice through the Viator messaging app, and I never received an email notification. I shared my disappointment with Viator, but their response consisted largely of excuses and attempts to defend their handling of the situation. They told me they notified me as soon as they found out the tour needed to be canceled, but that is not acceptable when the notice is given less than 24 hours in advance. The morning before I received confirmation that my activity was soon. If it was at risk of being canceled they should have said that in the email confirmation. Viator needs to do better and take accountability. If they knew there were not enough people booked on my tour and that it was at risk of being canceled, they should have informed me earlier. That would have allowed me to prepare and avoid making other reservations around a tour that was ultimately canceled. The customer service on the morning of the tour was also extremely slow, which made an already frustrating situation even worse. Afterward, I was told that their team manages more than 20 excursions a day. If that is the case, it sounds like they need to hire more staff because customers should not have to wait so long for help when their plans have been disrupted. But they did offer a replacement, Viator offered me the Gruyère and chocolate factory tour, which was absolutely horrible but that’s another story. I had planned my very itinerary carefully and I was very sad about this whole experience and will never be booking with this company again.

I found Viatour very unprofessional. I will not recommend.
I’m really disappointed and also very upset. My trip was started from Lausanne. In Lauterbrunen abandoned me there because I was 3 minutes late to come back to the coach. As a solo traveller I was panicking and tried to contact Viatour. Unfortunately they didn’t respond quickly. I think this is very unprofessional. Guide David was so rude and unprofessional. Via tour agent said you should come ontime and provide me key tours official number while I ask the guide David’s number.

La Belle Suisse!
The full suite Swiss experience: snow capped mountains, waterfalls, rolling green fields with grazing cows and horses, pretty villages with cobbled roads, stream, Lac Léman, la Gruyère (if you’re coming from Geneva and Lausanne) and trains. We were lucky to experience some of the best views in the world on a shimmering April day. The Eiger at Grindelwald, the waterfalls at Lauterbrunnen, the funicular at Interlaken and the bus ride itself. Spectacular! A must-do.
