Begin your tour in Geneva, you'll meet your guide and board the bus for Chamonix. Gateway to one of the highest peaks of Europe "the Mont-blanc". Embark on a cable car to the summit the Aiguille du midi 3842m. Enjoy the breath-taking views upon arrival on summit, followed by a twenty minute walking tour to show you the wonders and summits around (Mont-blanc ect) Next, descend to the village of Chamonix for some free time in the beautiful alpine town. Enjoy local shops and restaurants. You'll have about an hour of free time before re-joining your guide for the afternoon. Your tour continues with a stroll to the train station, admiring historical landmarks of Chamonix as you go. Then, embark a cogwheel train and ascend 1900m to take in the spectacular views of the Mer de Glace Glacier. In season, you will have the option to visit the ice caves. Around five 5:00pm the bus will bring us back to geneva to finish the day at around 6:30pm.

After a 1 hour bus drive from Geneva , we arrive in the beautiful village of Chamonix (France). We will then embark on an exhilarating cable car journey up 3,842m to visit Europes highest peaks. The Matterhorn (Switzerland) the grand jorasses (Italy) and certainly the Mont Blanc are all a glimpse away from the Auiguille du Midi. A guaranteed breathtaking experience.

After the peaks we will then descend together to the village of Chamonix for some free time to explore the local shops and restaurants to taste the local specialities (approx 1:30h for lunch). Then we will walk together towards the train station Viewing on the way some historical landmarks of Chamonix.

La Mythique Mer De Glace

The afternoon will be dedicated to visiting the beautiful Mer de glace Glacier (largest glacier of France). Boarding a historical cogwheel train taking us back up to 1900m (6,300ft) to have a spectacular view of the largest glacier in France. Arriving at the terminal, we will have the option for those who wish to visit the ice caves, to take a Gandola and hike down the 200 stairs to the glacier (hiking back up the 200 stairs).At around 16:00 we will take the train back down to chamonix were we will have our last chance to buy souveniers, before we embark back on the bus at 17:00 to arive back in geneva at 18:00

Please note. It is located on the same street of the Monument Brunswick, if early you can sit at the cottage cafe (20m from the lakeside). The guide will be standing on the sidewalk near the entrance of the bus at 8:15. Departure at 8:30

Lovely Day!
The drive in was gorgeous as well as the town of Chamonix. Great restaurants. Views of the Alps fantastic. Organization by our tour guide Neil’s was so well done. He was amazing, funny, smart, kind. He made the tour worthwhile!

Top of the world in France
Have good clothes and shoes if in the cooler months and beware of the breathing difficulties altitude can cause but the effort is well worth it as the views are stunning and the mountains magnificent. Niels was a great guide patient, helpful, informative and funny. Incredible day

A Breathtaking Day at the Top of the World
This was literally a breathtaking trip to the top of the world. My mother and I joined a group of wonderful fellow travelers, and together we shared lasting memories — and a few scary, daunting moments high above Chamonix. Our guide Niels went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. The day began with a scenic bus ride to Chamonix, with excellent driving by our driver Norman. Throughout every part of the tour, Niels kept us entertained with informative, enthusiastic commentary, sprinkled with jokes and plenty of fun back-and-forth banter with Norman, our driver. Chamonix itself is a beautiful mountain town full of shops and restaurants. The food was top notch, from simple pastries and coffee to lunch. Then came the ascent to the Aiguille du Midi, the adventure of a lifetime for my mom and me. The first stop at the midway station, Plan de l'Aiguille (about 2,300 m / 7,600 ft), let us acclimate while taking in gorgeous views of the French Alps, ominous and snow-dusted in their majesty. The second cable car took us to the summit at 3,842 m (12,605 ft). The clouds and mist rolled in and limited the views of the steep drops and surrounding peaks, but it was still a heart-pounding, adrenaline-filled experience. For anyone who's never felt high altitude: imagine a swimmy, dreamy delirium, like rocking on a boat with a wine buzz! We braved every viewing platform, and honestly, I was grateful the mist hid some of those sheer drops. We even stepped into "Step into the Void," the glass box perched at 3,842 meters (12,605 feet) above sea level and suspended over a sheer drop of more than 1,000 meters (about 3,400 feet). My heart was pounding — it beats any rollercoaster by far. The descent offered more stunning views of the craggy, majestic peaks, with another stop at the midway point for postcard-ready photos before returning to Chamonix for lunch. In the afternoon, we rode the little red cogwheel train up to Montenvers to see the Mer de Glace, France's largest glacier. It was beautiful the whole way. Seeing how much the glacier has receded was a real moment of reflection on climate change, but there was still so much beauty all around us. We walked past the historic Grand Hôtel du Montenvers, built in 1880 to host the first mountaineers and lovingly restored in 2017, then up to another gorgeous vista of granite peaks and a colorful forest tapestry in its October glory. I took a quiet moment of solitude there and wished it could have lasted longer — the views brought me to tears. I can't emphasize enough how amazing this tour was. Every part of the day came together perfectly. I would absolutely go again. Highly, highly recommend!

Awesome experience
I was hesitant since I normally do not book full day tours and experiences, but this was worth devoting a full day. The guide was awesome and the whole day was entertaining.
