About this role

Lead Manufacturing 100% (Final Packaging) Our company is further expanding by setting up a brand-new manufacturing site located in Nidau. Due to our company’s continued growth and expansion, we are recruiting a Lead Manufacturing 100% (Final Packaging) Job Description Organize and Allocate Workload: Efficiently assign daily and weekly tasks to operators in alignment with production targets and priorities, ensuring the team meets planned output and quality. Ensure EHS/GMP and QMS Compliance: Oversee adherence to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Quality Management System (QMS) standards, including proper documentation in controlled manufacturing environment. Monitor and Improve Production Performance: Track key production metrics (quantities, yields, cycle times), update Key Performance Indicators, identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and optimize processes. Team Leadership and Training: Coordinate a team of 8-15 operators by scheduling (vacations, absences and Saturday work), participating in hiring, delivering feedback and performance evaluations, and ensuring all team members complete required trainings. Inventory and Resource Management: Manage inventory both physically and in ERP systems for the area, provide feedback on staffing and resource needs, and organize materials and personnel to ensure smooth daily operations. Your profile You must have several years of professional experience in a similar position with Team Management, preferably in a medical technology environment (Clean Room) Very good knowledge of English as well as German and/or French (oral as well as written) Very good PC skills, especially MS Office Flexible, resilient and team player personality with very good communication skills Quality-conscious, organized and reliable way of working The right decision: working at STAAR Surgical STAAR Surgical offers you the ideal environment to develop your career and to progress professionally and personally, within a multicultural and international company.
