    Lucerne

    Passing by

Your guide will greet you at the Lucerne meeting point, before whisking your away to Mt. Pilatus

  2. 2

    Stop 2

    1 hr

Our accent to Mount Pilatus will take us aboard the iconic “dragon ride” aerial cable cart, where we will float back to earth suspended in a giant glass cabin. The windowed walls provide 360 views of the Lucerne region, and many compare the experience to flying. Enjoy an ever-changing perspective of the Alpine landscape, as historic Lucerne pulls back into focus as we approach the end of the line. The ride is a highlight of any trip to Mount Pilatus.

  3. 3

    Pilatus Luzern

    2 hrAdmission included

At the top, you will have the option to keep soaking up the stunning valley views from the restaurant or enjoy a leisurely hike to the summit of Mt. Pilatus. The top of this famous peak offers a bird’s eye view of historic Lucerne and panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside. Enjoy the clean mountain air from the viewing platform as you gaze out over an expanse of crystal clear lakes, lush green meadows, and rolling peaks and valleys. Learn how Pilatus came to be haunted by legends of dragons and why many believe the body of Pontius Pilate was laid to rest within its foothills.

  4. 4

    Alpnachstad

    30 min

Going down from Mt. Pilatus, take the cogwheel train where the engine will climb the foothills of Pilatus, taking you to the end of the steepest rack railway in the world. Admire the views over the Alps from 2,073 meters high, as your guide reveals the history, culture, and culinary delights of each area. From mid-May to mid-October, we will take the boat from Alpnachstad to Lucerne. While from November to April, we will do a round cruise on the Lake of Lucerne. As the coghweel only operates during that time due to weather conditions.

  5. 5

    Lake Lucerne

    1 hrAdmission included

Experience the Lake of Lucerne, also known as the lake of four cantons, and admire the Bürgenstock, Rigi Mountain, and Pilatus Mountain from afar cruising along the crystal clear lake.

    Tour on your own

The tour organizer canceled our guide at the last minute. Upon emailing them and a phone call, communication was limited. Our tour was leaving, had not received the tickets and booked it on our own. With such limited time the organizer should have called to let us know there was a delay. The phone number to contact the organizer only went to a prerecorded message, not reassuring when you have limited time. Because they eventually sent our tickets, we only received a partial refund for the guide that was ill. Overall not a good experience

    Lucerne vacation

It was a nice day. Our guide, Jovana, was excellent. I do think for the price there should be a meal included & better instructions for meeting spot.

Lake cruise & Golden route - cogwheel train & cable car

Jovana was an excellent guide for our group. She was friendly and was very knowledgeable. Jovana has lots of energy and nothing was a problem. She had good sense of humour. I highly recommend this tour to anyone.
