Private Day Trip from Vitznau to Zurich and Rhine Falls

Overview

Your private journey begins in Vitznau, a peaceful lakeside village on Lake Lucerne. From here, your driver takes you toward Zurich, Switzerland’s vibrant cultural and economic center. Explore the elegant Bahnhofstrasse, known for its boutiques, cafés, and famous Swiss chocolate shops, before stepping into Zurich’s historic Old Town. Walk through medieval streets, visit the iconic Grossmünster church, and admire the colorful stained-glass windows of the Fraumünster designed by Marc Chagall. A walk along Lake Zurich offers beautiful views of sailboats and alpine scenery. The journey then continues to Schaffhausen to witness one of Europe’s most powerful natural wonders — the Rhine Falls. From the viewing platforms you can feel the thunder of the cascading water, while optional boat rides bring you close to the falls. Nearby Laufen Castle offers spectacular panoramic views. After a day combining city culture and dramatic nature, relax on the scenic return drive to Vitznau.
