Enjoy approx. 1 ¾ hours of leisure time at the mighty Rhine Falls, one of Switzerland's major attractions. Delight in unique views of Europe's biggest waterfalls from the panoramic lift and see how an average of 700'000 liters of water per second plunge across a width of 150 meters into the basin below. A beautiful, short stroll on the Belvedere panoramic trail takes you to the viewing platform right above the falls where you feel the spindrift of the rumbling waters. Take an optional boat ride (summer only) close to the falls. Visit the Historama at the patriarchal castle to learn more about the interesting history of this unique place.

The return journey passes by the picturesque town of Schaffhausen with its well-known Munot Fortress from the 16th century. The way then continues for a short stretch through Germany before you arrive back in the city centre of Zürich.

The official departure point for all tours departing from Zurich is Sihlquai Bus Station, near Zurich’s main train station (Zürich HB). Please check in at least 15 minutes before departure at the “Best of Switzerland Tours” counter with your QR code on your voucher ready, printed or electronically.

Love a waterfall
Really enjoyed the falls. I paid for the boat trip and enjoyed it. My friends didn't and still got good views of the falls. The three lookout points coming up the escarpment were good, each with a different perspective. Make sure you go through the little tunnel at the middle lookout. The exhibition in the old castle was interesting and a bit different to normal. The church in the grounds is also worth a look in.

Very good ride!
We went by bus, along a dreamlike road. The explanation given by Carla, our Mexican guide, was excellent. José, our Colombian driver, a 10. Both very kind.

Fun for all
Light walking up and down a trail to boat landing. Getting the spray from the falls while in the boat is refreshing and fun.

Rhine falls
The experience did not meet my expectations, particularly when compared to other major attractions like Niagara Falls. Given the cost, I found the value to be unsatisfactory. However, the guide performed adequately and the driver was professional, ensuring our safe return.
