On this self-guided audio tour, you'll meet the movers and shakers behind Geneva's Red Cross and the Protestant Reformation. Join producer Ariel Peter Haemmerlé - a certified Geneva tourist guide - as you explore Geneva's old town. You'll embark on a journey to bygone Geneva and discover how a small city left a surprisingly large footprint in the fields of ethics, politics, history and science. On this walking tour, you’ll stroll through the cobbled streets to hear stories that began over 2,000 years ago and others that take us to the present day. Pierre will tell you who founded the city, what role the Celts and the Romans had in its formation, and who the Burgundians were. You’ll learn about the Protestant Reformation, the Swiss Confederation, and the founding of the Red Cross and the Geneva Conventions. Come along and explore Geneva's beautiful, storied corners as you retrace its journey to becoming one of the world's smallest cities with global significance.

Good enjoyable tour.
Very easy to understand and interesting tour. The app was easy to download via the email I was sent and I could download the tour offline, whilst in the hotel (using the code sent on the same email). I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had walked the streets the day before but it was only re-walking using the audio guide that I realised I had walked past about 4 excellent free museums! I was able to pause the tour, go in and then re-start.

Self guided audio tour of Geneva
This Voicemap audio tour around the old town of Geneva was very good. The narrator had a soothing voice which was clear and understandable. It was easy to follow along both the narrative and his walking directions. We could stop whenever we liked, go into attractions if we wanted or stop for a break when we felt like it. Definitely recommend it.

Informative and well conducted
The tour through Basel was very informative, and we were excellently guided. For me personally, it was explained a bit too much. 3 minutes per sight would have been enough for me.

An excellent walking tour
We really enjoyed the tour. It guides you along and starts when you get to the next site. You can pause it any time for a resfreshment or to visit the site (go in the museum, church etc.) We liked the guides voice. It was a good price.

Detailed guide through interesting town
A lot of detailed commentary through a lovely part of the town. Lots to see. Timing was good, maybe a little too much info at some stops.
