Join us for a full day of adventure and hike one of the most stunning trails in Zermatt! Our journey will start by hopping on the iconic Gornergrat cogwheel train to Gornergrat ridge. During this 45min trip, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful view offered by the 4000m peak around Zermatt including the majestic Matterhorn. Once at the summit, an easy short loop will bring you to breathtaking views of the valley, mountains and glacier surrounding the Gornergrat ridge. After enjoying the views and taking many memorable pictures, we will start our hike down to the Riffelsee. The Riffelsee is an amazing alpine lake that captures the imagination and on a good day offers the mirror reflection of the Matterhorn on its surface. We offer this tour only as a private group and with a flexible 4 to 6h time to allow us to tailor fit this experience to your wish. This area has a lot of different trails and possibilities, allowing you to adapt the tour to your fitness and desire.

Beautiful Matterhorn from every angle
I took this tour on my second day hiking and Cedric customized it based on my interests. He knows the trails like the back of his hands and time every move accordingly to accommodate you and get the best of your time. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is new to Zermatt and needs to learn the mountains.

Excellent experience and a fantastic day!
Gioia was an amazing guide. The trip was exceedingly well planned. We were able to see all the things we wanted to see and so much more. Gioia provided fascinating information about our hike, the town of Zermatt and the history of the area. She was able to answer every wuestion the 3 of us came up with but so much more. We saw beautiful views of the Matterhorn and enjoyed a wonderful day. Recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Swiss nature and the Matterhorn. Unforgettable.

A perfect mountain day
We had such a great day with our guide, Cedric. He was so knowledgeable about Zermatt and knew exactly the hiking route to take our family. He also led us to a beautiful mountainside restaurant for lunch that was perfect. Thank you Cedric!

This is not a hiking trip. This is simply paying over $650 to have someone ride up the train with you. Guided tine 2 hr
Advertised as 4-6 hours train ride/ hiking. No hiking planned on this trip at all, however. Be very aware. Total guide time 2 hours. Guide told us he hiked yesterday for 5 hours and was too tired to hike during our paid hike with us . We told our guide we planned to go hiking and he let us off the train at one of the stops down the mountain and that was it. Over $650 for 2 hours. Complete scam. Absolutely unethical to charge to have a guide ride up the train only. I would strongly recommend anyone considering this company and service, think twice. You could easily just purchase the train rides yourself and take the train up and down without the added $600.00. I’ve used Trip advisor for tours and guides for years with very positive experiences but this was the first disappointment… and I dare say scam.

Hiking at Matterhorn
We had a wonderful time with our guide Cedric! We took the train up the Mountain and walked down, and there were managable trails and beautiful flowers everywhere. Cedric even had so much interesting knowledge about the Alps that we were surprised to find out he was not a local!

Great trip, terrible booking experience
We had Gioia as our guide for the tour, everything went fine during the trip. We had a very nice walk, enjoyed amazing views and our guide shared with us interesting information throughout the entire trip. However, the booking experience was terrible, as it didn't mention the additional costs involved. The tour on the website didn't specify anything about the Gornergrat train ticket needed for this trip and when we specifically wrote to support, asking for this information, we were told that the ticket is included in the final price for 6 people, as shown on the website ($582). So we ended up paying an additional 132 CHF per person, for the train ticket, in the morning, after meeting our guide and finding out that the train ticket is in fact not included. This information has been updated on the website since then, but still, for us it was a very disappointing experience since we clearly asked about this before booking and paying for this trip. Moreover, even after paying the reservation, in the ticket we got, it again didn't mention this, in the "not included" section for this tour.
