The Trift Bridge is one of the most impressive pedestrian suspension bridges in the Swiss Alps. The Triftbahn is a small cable car operated by Kraftwerke Oberhasli, open to the public since 2005. The 10-minute ride carries up to eight passengers over the Trift River from the valley station at Nessental to the mountain station at Triftalp, climbing approximately 368 meters. Operating seasonally from late June to mid‑October, it provides a scenic and efficient way to access the trailhead leading to the Trift Bridge. Due to limited capacity, booking online in advance is highly recommended.
