Did the city of Basel get its name from the mythical animal basilisk? The fox wants to know this and has gone in search of the basilica's egg. The chasers of the fox not only have to find the city's book treasures, but also create art themselves. The trail brings some adventures with it: It goes through the historical center, with the help of chains along the Rhine and if you are lucky you will even meet an alien on the way.

WHAT IS FOXTRAIL? Foxtrail is an urban adventure in various regions and cities in Switzerland. There are several different, permanently installed trails in each area. Participants follow the footsteps of the fox on foot and with different public transport. His trail consists of tricky tasks, secret messages and hidden clues that have been solved or must be followed to get to the next clue. HOW DO YOU HAVE TO IMAGINE A POST? Foxtrail should be exciting and amazing, offer variety and be fun. Every trail is unique. That is why all the posts are unique in Switzerland. From the funny post board that is attached to an interesting building to playful furnishings or unique technical items from which messages are elicited in a creative way. WHAT SHOULD YOU TAKE WITH YOU TO THE FOXTRAIL? It is essential to take a printed reservation confirmation with a printed barcode, starting documents and a cell phone for each team with you. Buy the tickets at the departure station with the confirmation and keep them safe - the confirmation will be needed again on the way. Stamp the tickets before the start.

a great scavenger hunt with 2-3 small problems
This scavenger hunt was cute, my mother and I liked the story, and some poses were really wonderfully thought out. The route was also nice for walking and we hardly had to use public transport. Our point of criticism was that one station was much too difficult to solve even with the online help and that two stations did not work; once because of technical problems and the other time because the route was permanently closed and we had to take a large detour on our own. Nevertheless, it is recommended.

At the beginning I thought we would never make it, but it went really well. We'll definitely do it another time. We're already excited about the new trail

Guter Rundgang, Geschichte naja
Toller Rundgang durch die Stadt, mit einigen kniffligen Rätseln. In drei Stunden waren wir trotz Pausen und langsamem Tempo durch. Als Stadtbewohner*innen haben wir zT fast zu weit gedacht. Und für den 7-jährigen war einiges zu schwer. Ihm hat ein „Schatz“ am Schluss gereicht. Und mir war die Geschichte nicht ganz klar. Dennoch toll um die Stadt zu entdecken und für Rätselliebhaber* innen.

Viel Geld für eine Wanderung
Wir hatten den Trail an Auffahrt gemacht mit Kindern, 10 Jahre alt. Zwei Posten waren gar nicht in Betrieb und die Rätsel konnten gar nicht gelöst werden. Zur Antwort bekam man nur, der Techniker kann halt nicht so schnell da sein. Für 100 Fr kann man viel besseres machen! Geld sparen!
