The Best Tour We Ever Had in Switzerland
At first, we wanted to choose ‘Train to Abbey Library & Scenic Appenzell: Culture, Cheese & Beer’ for it offered both St. Gallen best for its church and library, town, and oriel windows, and Appenzell best for its small, traditional Swiss town vibe but then we knew that we would love the Rose Garden at Rapperswil. We were worried then since the admission fee for the library is no longer covered but he assured us it would be the best and would allow for the most experiences especially on our last tour day in Switzerland. Hence, we chose this customisable tour which combines Rapperswil and the first tour we wanted. Reading his proposed itinerary given our desired destinations (due to our limited days in Switzerland), we have faith in this tour even if it meant each place could only be visited for a shorter period of time given the trains (included in the 12-hour time limit). He is an expert as he claims. After the whole day was done, out of all the tour guides we had in Switzerland, this is the most memorable. We had a great chat with him, especially about geography. Indeed, it was him who we communicated the most with. We shared our snacks with him. It helps that the crowds were little to none and hence the quicker visits. We all loved it all: the culture, the food, the thrill, everything and connecting it to the Philippines. We had many great photos from this tour. As Filipinos, we certainly felt really comfortable being on this tour. It was as if he were part of the family. Indeed, his tour is best for being very accommodating especially with tickets booked by him which could be changed if a place took shorter to visit than expected. Since we finished St. Gallen 30 minutes ago earlier, with Daves’ tickets, we were able to arrive at Appenzell 30 minutes earlier which allowed us to have a long and early dinner which was not in the original plan. It was filling and traditionally Appenzeller. Hence, for the price, we do recommend his tour, the more, the merrier (until 8 of course). You can adjust the tour according to your pacing. You won’t regret it at all.
