A wonderful combination of an old vintage funicular train which dates back to 1893 and the world's first and still only CabriO cable car. A splendid view onto a chain of 100 kilometers of the Swiss Alps and 10 Swiss lakes. Charming Rangers are leading the way around the summit trail. Culinary delights you will experience in the revolving restaurant. We recommend to buy a boarding pass (time reservation) in addition to the ticket. The ticket must be exchanged at the counter at the valley-station in Stans.

After your walk, relax in the self-service revolving restaurant Rondorama. Take a seat, enjoy regional specialities, and let the mountain scenery revolve around you as the restaurant completes one full rotation every 45 minutes.

Wow!
What a great experience. The views from the cable car are spectacular, even if you don't go up to the top of the cable car, it still gives you great views of the valley and the lake. Once up on the mountain, it is like a different world. Listening to the cowbells in the distance is a great experience. The trails are relatively easy and offer a variety of views as well. The restaurant at the top is a nice place for grab a bite to eat. Hopefully, you'll have enough time to enjoy the scenery, enjoy the cow bells and relax on the top of the mountain.

Amazing
Amazing out of this world and to sit at the restaurant at the top for lunch just blew my mind. Well worth the trip. Gettin to ride on top of the cabriolet was awesome, even with my fear of heights

Warm and welcoming staff - exceptional view.
Read the worst reviews (which isn't always a good idea - as someone with 48 years in retail I know there's a small proportion of people who are IMPOSSIBLE to please...) and couldn't disagree more. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful - without exception. The views are outstanding, the open top cable car gives a fantastic view, and everything is well signposted. 90 - 120 minutes is ample time to have s good look around - leave more time if you want to stay for a meal. A simple 20 minute train ride from Lucerne, we highly recommend this trip.

Stanserhorn CabriO-Bahn is a unique experience
Pay less if Purchase tickets directly from the ticket booth. The Viator package was very expensive for what you got, which was basically the lift ticket. We had to get ourselves there by train. There was no organized presentation by a ranger. You could ask questions if you happen to run into him. That being said, it was an absolutely beautiful ride to the top, with the open air deck offering a unique perspective. Views from the top were beautiful. There were walking trails you could follow with benches along the way where you could just sit and enjoy the views of the farms and villages below and listen to the cow bells. You can see the snow capped mountains, the air smelled so fresh. The restaurant offered good food and refreshments Which you could enjoy either inside or outside on their large decks. Bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained.

Beautiful Ride Up and Down
We pulled into Stanserhorn Bahn at 1 pm. We started at Talstation with a funicular ride to Kalti. Interesting farms and cattle on the way. From there we took a two-level cable car up to Stanserhorn. You could either ride inside or go up to the top and ride in the open air. They had a very nice restaurant at the top and lots of areas to walk around and see the surrounding homes and farms in addition to Lake Lucerne. For those who did not want to go on this optional tour they were welcome to walk around the little town. We started down at 3pm on the cable car.
