It’s time for boarding! Join us as IT Project Manager & Project Management Office (PMO) and lead the planning, governance, and successful execution of strategic IT projects, while establishing and advancing a best-in-class Project Management Office that delivers transparency, efficiency, and business value. With a broad range of services—from shipowning, crew, nautical, and technical management to hospitality & catering, safety & security, ship financing, charter brokerage, insurance management, new-build and refit support, and ship ICT—we support our clients in all areas of passenger inland waterway shipping. Your responsibilities: Lead and deliver IT projects and transformation initiatives from planning through successful implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies while monitoring progress and ensuring on-time delivery Coordinate cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to drive effective collaboration and decision-making Ensure transparent project governance through clear stakeholder communication, comprehensive documentation, and smooth transition into operations Establish, maintain, and continuously improve PMO standards, governance, methodologies, and project management best practices Provide transparency across the IT project portfolio, including project status, priorities, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies Prepare portfolio reporting and support project prioritization, strategic planning, and decision-making for IT leadership Drive continuous improvement of PMO processes, reporting quality, resource planning, and compliance with project management standards Your profile: Degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification Experience in managing IT projects Solid understanding of enterprise IT environments, including network and server infrastructure, Microsoft cloud technologies, IT security, IT service management (ITIL), and application management English at business-fluent level, German is a plus Structured, independent way of working Strong project management and organizational skills Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Analytical and solution-oriented thinking Interest in new technologies and innovation What to expect at River Advice : An interesting, varied, and independent role with a high degree of autonomy in a fascinating, dynamic industry Long-term career opportunities within the UNITED WATERWAYS Group A supportive, experienced team A thorough introduction to the job We offer you a thorough introduction to the role and a diverse range of responsibilities in a dynamic industry, office space in the beautiful city of Porto, long-term career development opportunities within the UNITED WATERWAYS Group, and a supportive, international, and experienced team at an expanding company.
