Discover more at Product Development Intern (m/f/d) We are looking for an inspiring Product Development Intern (m/f/d) to collaborate on the development of the food experiences of tomorrow. You will participate in the execution of the segment's innovation roadmap, developing new food products, evaluating our latest flavour technologies while making an impact across customers, teams, and markets. As an Intern in the Product Development field, you will be part of the Regional Innovation - Dairy team within the Flavours Division for a period of 12 months. This role will be based in Kemptthal, Switzerland. You will be part of a supportive, diverse, and responsible team which is already curious to meet you. You will: Product Development & Food Innovation Drive prototype development and identify new opportunities across applications in the dairy and alternative dairy segment Translate market and sensory insights into unique product experiences Provide technical solutions that balance creativity, feasibility, and commercial success Select optimal ingredients for projects according to specified requirements (i.e. customer, regulatory, legislation, cost) and suggest improvements for the most common applications Customer & Business Partnership Execute daily brief-related tasks including ingredient selection, product evaluation, and application development Prepare samples, demonstrations, and customer-facing prototypes that showcase our ingredient performance Participate in customer presentations, product showcases, and technical discussions, providing technical support and expertise Cross Functional Collaboration Partner with Flavour Creation, Marketing, Product Manager, Sensory and Portfolio teams on concept development and presentations Participate in sensory evaluations of flavours in food applications for briefs, research projects and portfolio evaluations Support evaluation and commercialization of new S&T ingredients Data and Laboratory Management Manage flavour data and recipe documentation for food products Maintain the flavour performance data for the flavour portfolio through evaluation in applications Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment following safety policies You: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or a related discipline Strong interest in consumer-facing food products and food technology, combined with a passion for food and discovering and tasting new products Hands-on mindset, curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Knowledge of food formulation and application development, ideally within the dairy sector Good command of spoken and written English Strong organizational and planning skills Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Team-oriented mindset and a collaborative way of working Your benefits in Kemptthal: Excellent opportunities for progressive learning and development 40 hour working week Additional paid days off Favorable pension fund contributions Subsidized meals in the Staff restaurant / You benefit from a discounted catering offer (incl. lunch) Sport and leisure club (amenities/showers on site) Discounts at the company shop Subsidized: REKA vouchers and SBB half fare travelcard Worldwide private accident coverage and free choice of hospital Product Development Intern (m/f/d) About Givaudan Givaudan is a global leader in Fragrance & Beauty and Taste & Wellbeing.
